GPS Mower Robot

I've been putting this project on back burner for years but finally taking the plunge. Bought a 20" mower with GPS on mower and base station. Received it, tried to get it working and 3 weeks in doesn't work. Manufacturer is pretty useless for help. Frustration yes!! Have now found a way and am very confident will get it working within 2 cm and will be able to build them from scratch (electronic item connections) after the fact. Mowing is just the starting point how about edging, blowing, weed whacking and many other things. Will be combining ARCX with this for many other features. Will send pics and video after I get working like I want it to. I finally started posting some videos of my robots and here is a kinda cool one. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/f3F-iA6dPoU.

That'll be fun! If you're not getting support from the manufacturer, that's okay because you're using ARCx. Just load ARCx, enable MCP, and use Claude Code. Instruct Claude Code to build the robot skill for you. It'll make the robot skill connect to your hardware. You won't need to do any programming.

And with MCP, you can just tell Claude or Athena in ARCx to make the project do anything you want. It'll do it.

Love those cutting bots so cool to have two working in tandem! Great work!

Wow, ARCX has come a long way. For this project it will have 2 different softwares running at same time, one to get it to an exact location and another to do something very specific when it gets there and that is where ARCX will come into play. I already know how to do many of ARCX's skills which is actually helping big time in understanding and foreseeing what the next steps will be in the location software. It's not there yet but getting close. Some of these projects that I've been putting on back burner will be coming to life. Here is the garbage can hauler that some of the parts will be installed on my smart rover. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lxm6fifB8NI Here is that automated lathe that I built a long time ago that I should have posted long ago when you asked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ\_GTH32rVU

I dig your videos. Wouldn’t wanna get in a fight with that saw-hands robot haha

For your gps mower. Do you have the model and make for it? I can look to see if there’s an api to control It remote. If not, you might be limited to throw a gps sensor on it and an ezb of some sort.

It's Pixhawk and Qgroundcontrol. If ARCX were able to communicate with those, it would be a big deal. They definitely have some quirks in their software even though they have been around for a long time. Things that you would think to be intuitive -not so much. Oh and they hide things in their software-fun times. One of my friends called the double robots Edward Scissorhands. I've used them to plasma cut, weld, cut with circular saw, router, pick and place with various end effectors.
